Roy Pallatt Obituary

Roy Warren Pallatt of West Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully and quietly at home on July 9, 2023 at the age of 78. Roy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 12, 1945 to Joseph William Pallatt and Kathryn Marion (Bird) Pallatt. He graduated from Henry Sibley High School (now Two Rivers High School) in Mendota Heights, Minnesota and the University of Minnesota with distinction in 1966, a member of the Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity.

Throughout his life, Roy demonstrated a wide range of unique skills and talents as a Renaissance man. During his earthly life he was a faithful Christ-follower, husband, father, son, brother, pastor, missionary, worship leader, friend, teacher, musician, animal breeder, farmer, and world traveler. But more than any of his long list of worldly accolades, he was primarily a personal worshiper of Jesus Christ. Roy is now enjoying perfect fellowship with Jesus as he gets to completely enjoy the thing he probably loved doing the most – worshiping the King.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William Pallatt and Kathryn Marion (Bird) Pallatt, and his brother Jay William Pallatt. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rita Peterson Pallatt, his brothers Herb Pallatt (Carolyn) and John Pallatt (Rosalyn); children, Rebekah Rowland (Chas) of Macclenny, Florida, Ryan Pallatt (Jami) of Orlando, Florida, Roger Pallatt (Kristin) of West Melbourne, Florida, and five grandsons: Charles Ross, Haddon Royce, Martin Boyce, Joseph Larz, and Austin Roy.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Oceanside Community Church, 305 Cassia Blvd., Satellite Beach, Florida, with Dr. Chas Rowland and Dr. Ross Rowland officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of an internment graveside service, there will be a brief gathering in the church garden immediately following the memorial service for anyone who would like to attend.
